Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs is dedicated to empowering every student to achieve.

Academic Affairs is dedicated to empowering every student to achieve their goal of earning a college degree and launching a meaningful, impactful career. While more than 82% of our first-year students return to continue their journey, we are committed to elevating student success even further.

THE COMPLETION PROMISE – PROVOST MOMENTUM FUND

This fund is built around a simple belief: when students have the talent and determination to succeed, a temporary setback should never become a permanent ending. The Completion Promise is designed to help students start strong, stay on track and ultimately graduate.

LIFE DESIGN PROGRAM

Life Design helps students align college with future goals from their first year on campus through the Design Your Charleston portfolio, where they explore majors and career paths. Recognized nationally through the LearningWell Coalition as a model for student flourishing and purpose-driven learning, the program prepares students to navigate college and career with intention. Philanthropic support will establish the Life Design Experience Fund and Life Launch Courses so every student graduates career-ready and positioned for lifelong success.

EXPANDING THE VETERAN BRIDGE-TO-COLLEGE MODEL

Having earned Gold status as a Military Friendly School, the College has built momentum in serving veterans and military-connected students. In summer 2026, the College hosted the Southeast’s first donor-supported Warrior-Scholar Project Business Academic Boot Camp and now aims to expand this proven model. Philanthropy will establish new success programs, including a dedicated STEM academic pathway, giving student veterans immersive exposure to campus resources, academic rigor and tools to transition into high-demand degree programs.
